A Collector is the Irish Art Compendium term for a registered member who is not an artist, art gallery, supplier or patron.
While a collector could be strictly defined as someone who buys or sell art, for our purpose it is anyone who is an art enthusiast or simply enjoys learning about, experiencing or viewing art.

In addition to benefiting from access to a wide variety of Irish artworks registered collectors can also benefit from our Member-Specific Features.

My Favourites allows a member to:

Create, Save and Manage a personal gallery containing favourite artists, art galleries, artworks and exhibitions so they are readily available during future visits.

Compile and save a directory of Irish Art Compendium contacts which is quickly accessible during future visits to this website.

3 |
Receive a single weekly email to notify them of new artwork posted by their favourite Irish artists or Irish art galleries over the previous week (See 'Opt-In Email Programme - New Artwork'). |

Registered members may vote for their favourite entry in the Irish Art Awards 2008.
Ten lucky voters drawn from those who voted for any of the twenty shortlisted artists will each receive a €500 prizes.

The Irish Art Compendium features regular competitions which are open to all registered member. The competitions are designed primarily for fun although prizes are awarded to the winners of each competition. The competitions take the form of a multiple-choice question.

| When registering, a member has the option to nominate one of the 32 counties as 'My County'. Most pages on our website contain a My County button which is located just below the date. The My County button allows a member to quickly search for items and information relevant to their nominated county. |
